This Year will be Different 6

Ino had just woken up. Her head pounded and her stomach throbbed uncontrollably, she could barely sit up. Shikamaru heard the movement and turned his head partly, looking over at the bruised girl.
"How are you feeling?"
"Why do you care? I mean don't you like Temari?"
"Never mind, troublesome woman."
The last thing Ino remembered was Sakura being knocked unconscious then everything went black. She had heard a male's voice but only believed it was her imagination. She looked over Shikamaru and saw a sketch pad in his hand. He was trying to find a mistake in his picture. Ino limped over to him and saw the most amazing picture ever. It was her sleeping but it looked so much more exquisite. It had a bunch of pictures from when she and Shikamaru were little. The pictures were ideas of what he managed to believe Ino was dreaming about. He even drew out a Halloween when they were five and when it the Konoha festival when Ino won a goldfish. Then in the middle, it was a faded picture of them entering high school for the first time. Ino missed those days terribly, high school had managed to change them for the worst. He rose and she fell, both imagined it being the other way around. Ino felt tears trickling down her cheeks. Shikamaru felt something drop on to his shoulder. He turned, facing his child-hood friend and wrapped his arms around her, just wishing that she would stop.
"Ino, please don't cry."
"I'm not crying because I'm sad. I'm crying because I'm happy."
Shikamaru let out a faint chuckle. He never did that with Temari but with this so-called Yamanaka girl, he could.
After Two hours of constant exchanges of memories and laughs, Shikamaru drove home both of them to their respected homes. Ino fell asleep an hour after he left.

It was the weekend once again. Hinata was waiting for Naruto. She had promised to teach him how to make food on his own since he lived alone and had no one to cook for him. She had placed out the correct ingredients and the utensils for the appropriate dish. Naruto said he would be there around noon, allowing the two to eat the food they cooked. Hinata hoped that it wouldn't be poisonous like last time. Naruto finally arrived with his own cooking apron.
They began cooking ramen since it was Naruto's favourite.
"O-Okay. Now break up the noodles and add them to the flavoured water. Once that's done you just have to add the vegetables."
"Okay, thank you Hinata."
Naruto had managed to make ramen for them but he managed to set a piece of his apron on fire. Hinata couldn't help but giggle at the scene he caused. Finally, lunch was served. It didn't taste half bad considering she thought he would burn their food. Hinata had prepared something extra special though. She had made rice balls and cake for dessert. The cake had vanilla icing and filling while the inside was marble. It tasted delicious.
"Hinata" Naruto mumbled while eating "How did you learn how to cook so well?"
"W-Well ever since I-I was little, I-I have always had passion for cooking. I-In fact, my dream is to become a baker."
Naruto grinned his infamous grin. How Hinata loved that smile so. She blushed at the boy that stood in front of her. But he never would like her for he had Sakura….

Tenten and Rei were at the library studying. Tenten had to learn fifty French words and Rei had nothing to do. They were really bored at some point Rei fell asleep. Luckily Tenten had her laptop. Rei had hers as well but she had no sense of using it. Once they had finished what they needed to do, they headed over to Rei's house for some snacks.                                             
"Want some ice- cream?"
"Sure."
Rei took two wrappings. Each held vanilla flavoured ice-cream with a coat of chocolate on top. They walked to the living room and watched some TV. They watched the first thing they found interesting.
"So..." Rei began "What's up?"
"Not much. What about you?"
"I'm stumped. There's nothing to do."
Tenten took out her laptop and turned it on. She got on to Google and search for something to do. She finally found what she was looking for.
"Here, play this."
"Okay."
Only after a matter of moments Rei was hooked. She only played Tetris for a few minutes and couldn't stop.
"Rei… I think that you played enough."
Tenten was slightly scared. It had been 2 hours since Rei started playing. Then Tenten's computer died. Rei had never plugged in the charger. She was on the last level of Tetris too.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" was heard all through Konoha.
